Cedarville University SIFE | Sponsors

The Business Advisory Board (BAB) is currently comprised of 10 local business leaders committed to serve as mentors to SIFE students. BAB members inform students on current business issues and trends, critique annual reports and presentations, and often provide networking opportunities. In addition, many SIFE projects are made possible through the financial support of generous BAB members. If you are interested in serving on Cedarville’s Business Advisory Board, please contact us.

What is the Business Advisory Board (BAB)?

Being an organization with primary focuses on hands-on training, networking, and creativity, our board of advisors is very important to us for several reasons. It is our hope that through our interactions with our BAB we will be able to gain skills we will use in the future. For this reason we ask for any of the following from our BAB members:

1) Advice
This could include constructive criticism, recommendations, and/or social connections for expanding     projects. This would also include suggestions for our competition team when the time comes.

2) Creativity
We are constantly looking for ways to expand and begin new projects. These projects could be ones which would help your business or opportunities you see in the community.

3) Interaction
Although this may not be possible for all BAB members, we as a team would love to get to know our advisory board whether it be through scheduled meetings or projects in which you are involved. This would allow us as future business people to observe first-hand the work of a current professional and to form a social network of resources as we eventually search for careers.

4) Resources
Working with a limited budget, there are needs for our organization which a larger organization may be able to provide. This could mean donating supplies, money, or simply time and advice. All of these are resources we find crucial to having a successful SIFE program.
