Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a week for several weeks
2011: "Sam's club a proud SIFE partner, has presented CU SIFE with the challenge of helping a nearby hotel become more environmentally friendly. This is a great project for people who like to shop, be green, or put their creative computer skills to the test! We are helping the hotel begin a recycling program and we are helping the hotel begin a recycling program and we are helping them tell their customers about it! This is a low key project, so be sure to volunteer to help make a positive green impact."
2009: 2009 was the first year SIFE was successfully able to complete the Environmental Sustainability Challenge. We started off by meeting with Jeff Lencke, SIFE BAB Member and Regional District Manager at SAM's. He helped us through the process of what he was looking for and gave us ideas and books for ways to help businesses become more eco-friends. We were able to meet with one business, Mahaffy Pies, and gave them a presentation with different tips on how to make their business more environmentally sustainable. The feedback we got from them was good, they really liked our presentation and the ideas we presented to them.
